Executive Summary
NeoSeed Technology LLC., ("NeoSeed"), a Delaware limited liability company, has developed unique tools for brachytherapy. The company's initial focus is prostate cancer.

Prostate Brachytherapy
A surgeon (or other interventional physician) inserts radioactive pellets ("seeds") into the prostate and deposits them at specific locations to irradiate the tumor.

The Challenge
Accurately defining the prostate; Accurately measuring the location of the needle within the prostate (to assure proper placement of seeds); Reducing clinician exposure to radiation; Predicting for real time change of circumstances, seed distancing and separation; and Avoidance of human (physician) error occasioned by: hand and needle rotation or longitudinal movement; pubic arch interference; and reverse vacuum (upon needle removal).

State-of-the-Art
Physician receives a "pre-loaded" seed cartridge that is deposited in a slow, time consuming and user-unfriendly method. Defining the bladder/prostate relationship is a difficult task with a very sharp learning curve.

NeoSeed's Solutions
Unique easy-to-use devices that accurately, quickly and effectively deliver the brachytherapy seeds.

The Market
Fast growing world market. As the size of the "over-50" population grows, the incidence of prostate cancer grows too. In the US in 1999, the recorded number of new prostate cancers was approximately 185,000 and by the next year the number of the cases is expected to exceed 200,000. In the past, brachytherapy accounted for only 20 to 25% of this market. In the coming years, however, with increasing consumer awareness, a growing sophistication in the market place and improved outcomes, that number is expected to increase dramatically.

The NeoSeed System
NeoSeed's system is comprised of The "Green Seeder™" (a device that allows for fast, on the spot seed loading and checking); The "Green Grid™" (a needle advancement system that allows needle advancement beyond the obstructing pubic arch); The "Green Gun™" (allows for abrupt and accurate needle placement while decreasing bladder punctures, rotation of prostate and needle tract deviation); The "Q-Cath™" (allows fast and accurate localization of bladder neck); The "Q-Needle™" (unique wire identifies the location of prostate in bladder); The "Green Grip™"(enables single operator to retract and rotate needle over plunger, prevents seed jamming and allows for correct seed positioning); and the "Smart-Needle™" (indicates whether the seeds will be left in the bladder or accurately deposited in the prostate).
